Layering problem with flags and aetherytes on maps after last patch

Time: 9/16 and 9/17 throughout the day. The screenshot examples are from 5:17am, 5:03pm, and 6:11pm. My time zone is AST - Alaska standard time

Frequency: Sometimes/always
For Position Flags: It happened several times but less than 20. Basically whenever a flagged hunt mark would happen to be in the same spot on the map as another symbol. When some Free Company mates and I were trying to reproduce this casually at one point on the 16th we were unable to.
For Aetheryte Crystals: Ever since the 2.38 patch. When zoomed out at max you are almost completely incapable of seeing the aetheryte crystals, let alone able to click on them. You have to zoom all the way in so that they are totally uncovered by other symbols.

In-game time: Not sure, 9:50pm, 9:07pm for flags; and anytime I tried to teleport from clicking on a crystal on a map for aetheryte.

Area and coordinates:
For flags: Mor Dhona 28,11; Western La Noscea - Isles of Umbra 16,31; Eastern Thanalan 18,23
For Aetheryte: Almost every zone (probably every one but not 100% sure)

Steps: This was always while I was riding my chocobo around in zones looking for hunt marks. For aetherytes I was either riding a chocobo or running around on foot.

1. I was riding my chocobo around in the zone when someone in the chat log would post the coordinates of a hunt monster.
2. I would click on the position link to see where I should go and if I noticed that the flag was hidden under other sybols I would take a screenshot.
3. After clicking the link I would attempt to locate the Aetheryte nearest to the hunt flag. When I finally found it because of familiarity with the zone on the map I would then attempt to zoom in to click it.
4. After zooming in too far, zooming back out, dragging around the map, and repeating this a couple more times I would finally be able to click the crystal on the map and begin teleporting, having lost valuable seconds to get to a hunt monster before it was attacked.


After noticing this issue rather quickly I started asking around hunts to see if i was the only one experiencing it. I found out that I was definitely not the only one and that other hunters are also being driven mad by it. I believe this was an unintended side effect of your adjustment of the map layering to bring party members' dots to the top layer. Please, please, please put at least aetheryte crystals back above the other map symbols that aren't party dots.

Sorry for the huge pics. Didn't know what you might need from them and this way you saw the map better.

Thanks for the report! We will be addressing this issue in Patch 2.4 by adjusting the icon display method so that aetherytes are displayed with a higher priority.
