Seriously, since 1.0 I have periodically had this happen. Figured it would be solved, but since it hasn't I can't take it anymore. While fighting wherever, I will start randomly targeting all objects and monsters in the area really fast switching from one to another. Only thing that stops this I have figured out is focus target myself and then clearing focus target seems to stop this but its really irritating when I am doing some important fight and it does this. :mad::( any help would be great
Can be a bunch of things. Your L/R buttons are getting stuck (if you are on controller) or your keyboard keys might be getting stuck..
Can you test on other places/games?
This totally happens to me on occasion. What fixes it (for some reason) is alt-tabbing out and back in. No idea why it happens and no idea why that fixes it. I use a keyboard only and mouse just for interacting with NPC's and menus and such.
I thought it was a key sticking, but have new keyboard now. Its like I'm holding down a key to cycle through objects and my character will have a circle on him, also if I click my character during this time a targeting cursor appears on him but the cycling does not stop. I checked all key binding and see nothing causing this or one for it. It happens only sometimes but far in between and at the worst of times, if it was a simple all the time button press wouldn't it occur more often, any suggestions?
I don't think it's a key sticking, but I have no explanation. I agree it seems to happen at the worst times. But when it happens, try alt-tabbing out of the game (like to a web page or your desktop) then go back to the game. That's what fixes it for me. I totally understand what you're talking about. I assume it's something on my end but it's random, I couldn't duplicate it, and luckily pretty rare, and at least easily dealt with.
