Idea for the dungeons that drop crafting mats

Why not in addition to the crafting mats drop crafting / gathering gear or demimateria?

No please, its already hard enough to get the gear you want.
My idea for Crafting mats would be for them to come out of Potion Chests instead of boss chests.
This way you can have the crafting/gathering demimateria there if you want but also people can collect gear without getting unlucky and getting crafting mats instead.

Most of these chests are ignored anyways.

Why don't they just make it so crafting materials occasionally drop alongside gear? Instead of having it so you either get materials or gear; gear 100% of the time, materials as well X% of the time.

There are actually a few rare crafting materials that come from potion chests. It would be awesome if demateria had even a low chance of dropping since it would reduce the insane market price of the item.

This. They should both be able to drop at once.

What they should do for this is drop the amount of Seals or Tombs to buy the crafted materials on NPCs so that they can increase the drop rate of gear.

The main thing which I meant was if we can't get the battle gear at the same time as the crafting materials at least giving us crafting or gathering gear with that drop to make it a bit more interesting ;).

I definitely agree with the "dropping alongside each other" notion, especially since I want some of the gear for glamour reasons. It makes me lean towards not running a dungeon that has the gear I want when it only comes from one chest and there are 8 (or more) different options including mats. The best option would be 2 drops from the chest: 1 gear and 1 mat. The mats that drop are already getting stupid easy to obtain between GC seals and Ixali oaknots anyway.
