Oh, btw, hi, I'm the noob of the forums (Also in game) And... Well, I liked to go PvP with my healers, but... Call me noob or whatever but.... I CAN'T see any of my healers without their MAIN (In my opinion) ability...

Cleric Stance... The balance, the yin yang, healing or attack, attack or healing... It is my favorite skill, the reason I became healer, because just healing is boring, because attacking while healing can 'make the difference'...

How funny it was in PvP to go with my dear scholar, put poisons, wait that target to get close to his party, use bane, and then, only then, start healing a little my team... No. I can't do that now, well, I can, but with a damage so ridiculous that it would tickle...

What's your opinion people? Well, to be honest I expect more to read the opinions of the affected people, all those healers who loved to go as healer to PvP because was exciting and now it won't be as it was, it will be just go and heal, boring. (If you're just that dragoon that died in a 1 vs 1 with a healer yesterday, or something like that, please this is not your thread)

We learn to control this skill and to balance the DPS and heal for something... It is the worse nerf you could have been done to healers. I hope this horrible decision would be repealed, it kills the healers in PvP, directly. (At least those who like to not be lazy and do a bit of everything...)

I know, I'm a noob and healers should "Just heal, they are healer, you know?" But hey, not here, and that's the awesome of healing in FFXIV, that you don't have to just heal, you have to learn how to perfectly control the balance of DPS output and healing, and have a good usage of Cleric Stance, never heal with it, only attack with it... Now it is going to feel so plain, easy, boring, go heal, nothing else you can do...

Sigh... I guess I wasted my pvp points for that increased mind max...Well, nevermind, what's the point of going to PvP now?.

Indeed some surprises may be bitter...

PS: Sorry, I have not so much time to check the whole forums if a similar post have been added. I had a small one hour break before going work again, decided to read the patch notes and... As fast as I read this terrible notice I came here for posting, honestly, and sadly, I don't expect them to change anything, but hey, at least had to express my discontent with this.

As far as I can remember, there was a lot of stink that a healer (I believe Sch was the biggest offender, but whm maybe) could use cleric stance and just tank a light party, sch in particular could use their pets to keep themselves alive and cleric stance to attack everyone around them.

I could be wrong though.

I was in a 8 man WHM party just yesterday. 4 of us had Cleric Stance up. We pretty much overran any flag we went to, even one who had Flames and TA already duking it out. Steamrolled everyone involved and took the flag.

Cleric Stance + Holy & Stone II was a dangerous thing if used correctly.

It's pretty obvious that for the sake of balance, they are trying to force the task of healer upon you if you are on WHM or SCH. It's the same as when they removed Resurrection from SMN and ACN, as their task is to mainly DPS and not raisebomb dead allies.

Was a needed balance adjustment, those 8 healer parties were a pita to deal with, now the damage those kind of parties can do had a huge but needed nerf.

You do realize that (not including pet damage) in Cleric Stance a Scholar almost equals a Summoner in damage potential?

Cleric Stance let you be both a DpS and a Healer.

Well... Some even overDPS summoner, (Without the pet).

But cleric stance needs to have a good control of it after all. It's not so easy as it seems, that's why some people just heals because they don't want to stuck by error healing with cleric stance (They forgot to delete it.) or doing useless tickle-dps because they forgot to use cleric... Now healers are easy, plain and boring, without any way to make a bit of difference. (Mostly like the other classes in that sense, yes.)

They could have avoided the formation of 8 healer parties (Which, have to say, is awesome PvP strategy, well, rather, was.) by not allowing people to change to healers once they enter there, or by forming normal duties with preformed parties so the limit is two healers, etc...Those things, instead of killing the fun of the class...

And it could also be an advantage, for example, if your enemies had a healer all time DPSing and forgetting about healing enough, because couldn't balance, then it would be super easy to kill his party. Now we won't see all those differences in PvP, just... Plain healers, healing and nothing more... Or healing and wasting useless actions for tickle enemies.

You can still tanking without attacking, even more now, because you'll heal more yourself instead of wasting useless attacks...Just healing and awaiting for your team.

you can still use repose, you can still use fluid aura to go on a killing spree, you can still slow people down with Stone, you can still stun people with Holy.
