That's how I feel from reading the forums... Just got back from work and all I see is 'HULK ANGRY, HULK SMASH' on housing.

Okay so they have misdelivered on their promise, but it's not like they are not working on it.

So 2 new instances will be released as where personal housing will remain the same as FC housing. Yoshi-P then announced that the plots will be doubled for 2.4 (whether prices will drop idk).

Funny thing though, many people seem to be saying that they don't care about more plots whether that's double or triple. All about the GILLLLLLLLLLL.

Okay let's look at it this way, let's say the 2 new plots are released with reduced personal housing. Everyone flocks to it and buys a land; then all plots a filled. What happens next?

'HULK ANGRY, HULK SMASH, WUAI NO MOAR PLOTS!? YOU LAR TO MEH SE'

Either way you will complain.

Okay so they should release more plots. I don't know how they are dealing with the servers, but from my own personal experience; developing a server isn't easy. You are practically trying to build a super computer. No matter how much money you put into buying the tech, if you cannot make 100% use out of it and get around all the technical problems; it will be pointless.

I am willing to assume they are doing everything they can to improve their infrastructure.

The game is still a year old in terms of 2.0, it's still way too early to point fingers at anyone. I would at least wait till the expansion till we get stabilized content, maybe even till 4.0, heck I'll wait till 5.0.

ikr.. also funny how those people open a new thread for it all the time, need attention much?

They are also busy with many events coming up, 3 fanfest events in 3 different countries and also TGS 2014 coming up in 2 days.

Also, I've personally have been waiting for Personal Housing. I've been logging everyday after work doing my dailies or whatever I could to make money. But do I go bitching about it? DURHURDERPY.

Personally I think that this is disgusting behavior.

I kinda wish I had popcorn cause its so funny reading the posts of ppl who just want the house NOW and don't wanna use any gil for it.
But its early in the morning and I haven't had breakfast yet so maybe ill get popcorn later.

I will also sit in my medium house in mist, plot 4 ward 7 laughing at you poor filthy casuals MOHAHHA

I think the main concern here is that you are dealing with something that all MMOs have to deal with, yet most new MMOs these days handle housing considerably better than this and handle it with far more communication. The only communication we really got regarding housing is that they were working on it for nine months, it was expected to be considerably less money than a FC House (which is funded by multiple people) but on the day of the patch, we are told it is the same amount and the same system, and only you are paying for it this time so technically it's more expensive for an individual, and there is a landgrab involved where you are competing with FC's.

Preeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeetty sure that justifies a negative reaction.

They have stopped communicating proactively like they did around the time of patch 1.23, and this is the result. If Yoshi wants to retain the trust of the people, he needs to look towards what he did right in the past, what set him apart from the prior leadership. At the moment, sadly, he is heading in their direction - little communication regarding things people hold dear and failed promises. Now, I support Yoshi to remain as leader of this fantastic game (and it is fantastic), but if he continues down this road it will work against him.

We need more open communication regarding the status of things and how they are expected to work BEFORE they are thrown at us, because managing people's expectations is something he did so well during 1.x and he has stopped doing it recently. It's working against him in a big way.

Or maybe... We can show we are angry about it, but like other part of games, and just hope they will change personnal house?
Yes we are crazy i know...

And they are not so busy with fanfests. It is not the devs team that prepare such event. Some of them will be in those, but great part of team not. It is marketing team that will do it...

If we don't express our distaste toward this then they will continue to add ridiculous patches like this one.

Some posts are worded poorly, regarding housing.

Some people though, have made valid topics questioning the decisions. Which I don't think Yoshida would mind, since they tend to always say they want to hear what we think. How could they know how to -possibly- improve if they don't get feedback?

You say people would complain either way.. I think most of these 'disturbing' posts you mention wouldn't be here if they just added 1-2 wards, completely separate from FC Housing, with pricing that reflected what an individual could afford, as opposed to an FC.

Do agree though, some of them could be worded more appropriately.

I'm also disturbed... By the amount of white-knighting I'm seeing in this thread.
