Since the start of the game, my character has had a short hairstyle, but sometime soon, I may change that (not the colour), and go for a longer style, what do you think?

Also, I may start to use a shade of green dye to use on some outfits.
I can think of at least 2 popular FF characters with long green hair. I can't say it's exactly in vogue now (Terra's re-color in Dissidia), but it is a style most FF players would know. Go for it!
I would be very cautious about cropping with long hair and outfits though, but if you have an outfit already set and can test it in the barbershop, it's not usually a problem. There's also some headgear that don't work well with some hairstyles. Lightning hair tends to crop and destroy the Summoner Horn.
