Scholar or white mage?
Hello, Just upgraded my trial account to full game. Am now wondering what job to go for, I like healing in the duties. Conjurer heals well but his soloing is very slow, arcanist has to wait until level 30 to get healing role but he solo's very fast. But I have spend all my arcanist attributes in mind for when I get scholar job.
What would you recommend for new player? I don't like doing DPS in dungeons is just more boring then healing, I feel that I have a much greater effect on the outcome as healer.

You're going to end up leveling them both regardless. They are each other's sub class for the job quest (WHM requires CNJ 30 ACN 15, SCH requires ACN 30 CNJ 15), and they both have cross-class skills that the other job wants (Virus, Eye for an Eye, Cleric Stance, Protect, Stoneskin). Which means eventually, you'll want them both to be at least level 34 (for Stoneskin and Eye for an Eye). So play around with them both.
That being said, if you know you want to heal, I'd personally recommend WHM for a new player, as it's more straight-forward. WHM heals are mostly straight-up heals without a lot of moving parts. SCH has the fairy, an emphasis on shields in addition to heals, Aetherflow stacks to manage.
On the other hand, SCH is also easy in its own way at lower levels in that the fairy on auto-pilot can handle a pretty significant chunk of the healing. And some people find preemptive shields easier to use than reactive curing.
It sort of depends on which you find easier to wrap your head around.

I think WHM is the better choice to start with. SCH has several aspects players need to learn beforehand: pet management, enemy rotations (so you can put up shields/debuffs at the best times), and weaving your DoT rotation between heals. Naturally, some players are already more adept with one set of skills than the other, and therefore find one or the other easier to learn.
At endgame, I think both will appeal to you, but SCH might be funner for you to level up. Especially since you seem to have some idea about how to DPS and use DoTs. If you can, try to make a pre-made and run your arcanist as a healer. The Arcanist can do reasonably well as a healer role up to Tam Tara, the lv.24 dungeon, directing carbuncle to attack. The lv.28 dungeon is a little harder, especially with stronger mobs that make burst healing more important (coincidentally, WHM get cure2 at lv.30 as well, just to stress its importance).

Thanks both I was thinking of maybe first leveling my arcanist to 30 and unlock chocobo pet. That pet shall then help with conjurer soloing, I could also do a lot of duty finder leveling, healers have fast queue times.

Why not both? Outside of weapon, artifact, and mythology gear, they share gear. This makes it easy to gear both up.
