Strength not giving damage?

Why does +20 strength increase my attack by 0?

Because stats aren't working properly at the moment.

Str does not increase attack.

Dmg is an equation that uses str and attack in it. Need to increase both to increase dmg. (atm str is a very minor part ofit)

The formulas for the stats are being changed in the next patch though.

FFXI and FFXIV do not share the same formulae for stats.

The short answer would be because is broken .

In what plane of existence of mmos increasing your str exponentially does not increase your damage input at all?

best increase just buy a little higher lv weapon ^^

Still. 20 STR do improve the damage output.
Did a lot of testing back in the days an +20 STR are about +10% Damage.
So were +20DEX ~10% more accuracy and so on.

It depends a lot on the mops rank, though. You see very little change, if you fight against weak enemys.
