I would like to request 2 things that might help with the queuing up for this duty.

1. No more then 2 of a same dd job per group. Don't think we need more then 2. Makes it hard to loot on items if there were more then 2 of the same dd job in the group looting on the same item. (cough Cough: having like 4 bards in a group)

2. Need the system that's in "The Carteneau Flats: Boarderlands Ruins" for when you join through duty finder. I think this system creates the parties and looks for members during the duty. "A party member has withdrawn from duty. Finding new member" is getting very annoying.

Just my suggestions. I am sure others feel the same way.

1) Would probably do nothing but increase queue times for said job. If there's already 2 in a particular group, the duty finder will have to find an entirely new one.

2) No thanks. We get inside with 16 players, nobody else joins for 10+ minutes? Then we're 8 members down and have no idea when the other members will join.

1) No, it make the queue time longer than it needed to be, and with 1 drop/week people tend to go after different pieces anyways. Select a few pieces that you want and take the one that drops first.

2) No, it works in frontlines because there's only reward at the end. Some people may want clean runs to get drops from 1st or 2nd bosses might make it difficult to fill in all the spots if you start with like 16/24

The last ST I was in one party had 5 BRDs, mine had two BRDs, the third had three more BRDs. It was hilarious! :p But the only DPS to drop right away was the other DRG in my party that asked if I was going for pants too (pants didn't drop, so I guess he made the right decision).

Anyway, some gear is just too rare to restrict queue times for it. It may have only been a 1/5 chance for that one group, but if there were only two then still only one would get the item, and four would still be queueing to get that same piece. If the pants had dropped, I'd have had a 100% chance at them, or they might have just gone to no one if I grabbed a different piece first, and that DRG that dropped would still be out there taking up another DPS spot in the queue. There isn't really any long-term benefit to limiting the DPS, and it would definitely increase DPS queue times, cancelling out the whole reason why they made a party setup that would (and has) reduce DPS queue times in the first place.

I don't mind idea #2. The ranks fill up pretty quickly when half the raid drops after the first failed attempt at Scylla anyway (hint to people that drop on Scylla: the first attempt at Scylla always wipes, wait for wipe number 2 before dropping and you're more likely to get through faster than re-queueing and trying again with an entirely new group that isn't guaranteed to be any better).

No to both, OP, for the reasons stated here.

It's hard enough getting constant runs as DPS if you limit it to 2 it would make it that much harder. None of that. In fact ST may be the only instance where i get the fastest Que as DPS. and that is saying something.

If 4 man dungeons were 5 man instead dps would wait less.

1. No. Like so many have said, it would create longer queues for little reason. I'm okay with a long queue if there is a reason behind it, but for something like that? No thank you. Most people want Oil at the end anyway, so it's not like there is a ton of competition for anything else.

2. Again, this is a terrible idea that has little thought behind it. Frontlines works okay with this because, no matter how many people you have, you are either going to win or lose, and in both cases you get a reward out of it.

If that system was implemented into ST, it could screw people. In frontlines you don't need the full 72 people, everyone will finish and get a reward no matter what. It doesn't matter how many times you die, how many healers you have, nothing matters. You finish if you stay until somebody wins. In ST, you need a certain amount of people to even get past the first boss.

Also, I would much rather be left to do as I please while waiting for a queue (crafting, MB stuff, talking to FC members) then be stuck in any dungeon for 10 minutes waiting for enough people to join to actually run the content.

I've only seen a wipe at Scylla twice, and one was about 20 minutes after the servers came up for 2.3.

With 3 bards in the same party, you can sustain Foe Req near indefinitely. It's perfect if the other two parties are stacked with casters.

That's if any of the bards feel like singing, I've seen alliances with 4-5 bards and not a single song, this is their reasoning (warning, long thread).
