hello, Square Enix. i was thinking about how we could reduce the additional retainer fee from 2$ down to 1$. i think if you can separate some of their functionality this can be possible. like if you can make it so that the 1$ retainers can not go on ventures, i think this can maybe be acceptable.
of course we would have the option of choosing between the two type of available retainers.
maybe each market slot for $0.1 ^^;
It would just be nice to explore options that will allow price adjustments to the retainers. If we could separate the storage and venture functionality, we can also lower the prices. I feel separating these functionality should be acceptable. Because then at the very least we could simply pay for only what we want to use. With the changes the game can retain a normal monthly fee, as compared to other P2P games, and still have our extra storage space.
Damn retainers shouldn't cost a monthly fee to start with... Maybe a one time fee. Or maybe a Crysta feature. But they sure as hell shouldn't be costing a monthly fee. At the VERY LEAST some kind of discount at a certain Veteran Level.
Again, I don't mind paying for something. But a 2$ monthly fee is absurd. Unless you downgrade to Entry level the game will cost $18.99 per month with both Additional Retainers. And even after downgrading it's still more expensive then the vast majority of other P2P games. Heck even more expensive then many F2P game i have played. (storage-wise that is) And then on top of the cost you get limited to one character per world for downgrading. It's all quite asinine.

I'm pretty sure it's priced the way it is, because the fee covers all characters linked to the account. So if you have 8 characters, you get an additional retainer for each character. I would also assume that the server storage cost for each retainer, and its inventory, would be much more costly than the venture functionality. Therefore, I would not be against the price drop if it applied to those of us that have a subscription for only one character. However, if this extra fee goes towards the much needed improvement of the retainer menu interface, I'd gladly give you a dollar.
yeah. i can understand that. a lower price for entry subscriptions could work. heck it would even be okay if a discount was included in one of the veteran rewards.
