I have trouble telling if I already purchased skills with Guild Marks or if I just haven't unlocked it yet for purchase, I suggest making the locked skills a faded grey.

I agree with you. There should be some difference between the two.
I've had this problem as well on several occassions during my conquest to purchase them all
