Retainer Gearing Question..

This will probably be a dumb question but I can't seem to find an awesome to this question anywhere so am goona go ahead and ask it.

I'm thinking about resetting one of my retainers and leveling it as a botanist, when she reaches 50, will I be able to equip her with my AF botanist set + weapon/offhand?

Its all melded and shizzle and the only reason I want to reset it is to get 'Floss Silk' as I want to craft the crescent set for myself.

Can anyone confirm this or maybe confirm that Floss Silk can drop from Field Exploration XIV on DOW/DOM retainers aswell?

as long as your retainer is the right Class they can equip it. it says in the items tool tip what class/job it is for. but keep in mind that your retainers can't job advance. this doesn't matter for DoH's, though.

and i can't confirm about the item from the exploration thingy.
