I recently returned to the game after a long break and decided to continue on with my BLM relic quest. I switched my gear set to the BLM one only to receive an error message saying the weapon was missing.
I have checked my armory chest, armoire, bag and both retainers and it it not there. I have not deleted the weapon or abandoned the quest. The quest is still there in my log at the same point I left it. The weapon has just vanished into thin air since I left.
Nobody else has access to my account and nothing else has gone missing. I still have my complete WHM relic, it's just the incomplete BLM one that has gone.
I sent in a ticket and was told that they could not help me. I was hoping that someone here on the forums could shed some light on what's going on.

Are you sure you haven't gotten to the part where you give back the unfinished relic? After you have beaten the Hydra, you need to use a different weapon for the rest of the quest.
