Crossbar Sticking PS4

I just logged in after 3 months of unable to afford it due to job loss and as i was playing i realised my crossbar got stuck on the R2 or L2 selections. I couldnt get out of it without clicking the touch pad to edit like 12 times. It wouldnt let me select enemies or other things but what was on that selection of the crossbar. Its really getting frustrating since I was trying to do my Bard quests and died because the damn thing got stuck. Any one else having these problems?

Running on PS4 wireless controller maybe 4-5 feet from the ps4 with direct view access and no wireless keyboard or mice
