SMN BiS with i110 Ramuh Ring?

On the gear calc I seem to come up 1 Accuracy short for T8 and T9 accuracy cap (491, come out to 490 without food of course, since its just for garuda)

Think it matters? O:

Here's the "BiS" I'm examining, it switches high allagan earrings (t9) to evenstar earrings.

I'm glad you made this thread because I came here to do the same thing. Ok, so with the upgrade from i100 to i110 you can assume the stat increase will be +2 int, +1 crit, and +1 det based off of the weathered to unweathered stat increases on the Soldiery gear. What you have posted is what I consider the ALT BiS if downing T9 is not something you are able to do which is the category I fall under. If you can down T9 and get the earings it would seem that swapping out the Evenstar armlet for the High Allegan wrist from T7 is the new BiS.

Here are the overall Crit and Det differences for swapping each piece of gear...
Wrist= 520 to 538 Crit and 313 to 310 Det while maintaining Acc cap
Ear= 520 to 519 Crit and 313 to 327 Det while dropping to 1 below Acc cap

The differences are extremely minimal when you break it down, and it depends on whether you think Crit or Det are the best stat to stack. So that one below ACC cap isn't winning or losing a fight in my opinion, but I'd still rather stay above cap if i can.

I'm not sure I'll consider that ring for my BiS.
I would exchange that ring for the High Allagan Breeches of Casting, with some adjustment it would be nice imho: http://ffxiv.ariyala.com/NSHS

This build is what I've been using atm with the Ramuh EX ring currently. Having downed T9 several times, you only have a chance of missing in one particular instance during the last phase with 490 accuracy and that's when Nael turns to the party to cast Supernovas + Thermionic Beam.

Outside of that, overall I "may" miss all of 1-2 times if at all in the entire fight but you gain some good DPS for having a good pool of Crit and DET to work with. I've tried many builds (have pretty much all the coil and soldiery gear) and honestly this one has shown the best results time and time again despite being 1 ACC off cap.

I also have stated before that the High Allagan Earrings are hard to make a build for that you can't outdo with a better stat spread using a Evenstar Build.

Evenstar Earrings > High Allagan Earrings

This seems to be the case when forming builds with our current gear set and the silly abundance of accuracy, and Crit/SS combos.

The problem with your build is gonna boil down to a huge DPS lose from a dramatic dive in Determination, which is your strongest contributor to DoT damage. The build the OP posted would out DPS yours on pretty much every fight. Your stat spread is also questionable. Spell Speed is largely a mundane contributor to SMN DPS.

I am not sure if it is the most optimal listing, however it does achieve the accuracy figure that Summoner requires for Turn 8 & Turn 9. Granted it requires you to have at least one Turn 8 item in order to achieve the figure, but that is easily solved by using the Summoner's Ringbands in it's place.

Way overkill on the Accuracy.

This is theoretical BiS. Ramuh's ring was already BiS at i100, the i110 boost just cements its spot.

i110 boost?

I've been using a SS build for t9 and like it so far. I use lordparanoias build with HA coat. (Soldiery limits)

That 4th phase it's nice for ruin spam with all the movement. Also more ACC helps for book smacks since I'm standing near Nael for a good portion of the time. (I assume SMN melee attacks have the same Acc requirements as DPS)

You could just take the old BiS, replace the HA ring with Judgement and replace the evenstar bracelet with HA. Makes up for the accuracy and doesn't lose crit

And since we'll likely be using Evenstar earrings for a while that gives extra accuracy until the HA earrings drop to play with other gear pieces. Such as swapping from HA gloves to Evenstar or something, but thats up to how much sold you feel like spending
