Battle/Back ground music. Optional on and off & Separation channels.

I miss one option in Final Fantasy XI. It's far enough that at times the new music development is too modern that it doesn't fully define the saga of Final Fantasy. I miss the freedom and choice to remove the "Battle Ground Music" and still keep the "Background Music".

Regardless of FFXIV having some annoying background music, not all of the music is bad (Some are even batter than the constantly battleground music ><. I like certain background musics besides the elevator sounding ones. E.G; Fallground has a nice one, as well as Oakwood in Camp Bronze Lake.

Anyways, hope this is the discussion area for suggestions.

[Also I asked around in-game if it was possible, as I've been playing since 1.0. I still don't see the option, unless. My observant skills are off now. >.< I just like to just enjoy the background music, over the battle ground music.]

If you mean remove the battle songs but keep the area songs, that isnt possible through options.

However, if you know which they are, you could... replace them or render them corrupt or "missing" through some way and it more than likely wont load it and keep the area song you had. But i'm not sure if SE wants someone to explain on these boards how to modify core game files ._. You could probably google it though.

It's only possible with Mount music, just don't understand why we don't have that option for Battle ground music (The music that starts off when fighting a monster/creature). Yet we have it for our mounts. I posted this as a suggestion. Also tampering with the files is violating the terms of service, not like anyone would really follow it. As 80%+ players never did back in Final Fantasy XI with file swapping. Though, rather avoid that option > . <

I agree, I don't like hearing the same battle music since lvl 10. Same goes for FATE music and repetitive music clips that play when you accept/complete quests. But I love all the different zones background music, it's a shame I never get to hear it unless I'm just standing there doing nothing lol
