OS X Support

I doubt that anything will come of this and I don't know how many people are currently using an Apple computer (BootCamp) to play FF14 like I am.

But I would be sooooo happy if SquareEnix would release Final Fantasy XIV for Apple OS X!

I couldn't find any other thread with this request, so maybe there's not as many people as I thought there would be playing on an Apple computer. But I'd hope if there was enough demand for it, I'd much rather play it on my OS X side rather than Windows.

Bootcamp, vmware, crossover, wine. there are multiple solutions to your problem.
Regardless currently FFXIV isn't native for OSX, so those are your answers.

I know wine's latest engine runs it pretty smooth in the wrapper (engine: 1.3.25)

He said he's already running it through boot camp. He is simply requesting a mac client.

I would also like one as playing an mmo on a console can sometimes be limitating. Tab targeting while trying to tank, no click select, chatting yadda yadda yadda.
