Relic Zenith?

I have my relic weapon, but couldn't find who or what starts the path to upgrading it. All Gerolt has is "Up in Arms", which tells me I NEED a relic zenith so if that's not it... I'm confused. I looked in the city-states, Mor Dhona, Coerthas... maybe I'm overlooking it.

While there is no "quest" to upgrade from relic to Zenith, it's pretty common knowledge that can be gotten fairly easily by shouting for assistance, that you need 3 Thav mists, at the cost of 300 mythology from a vendor in Mor Dhona are, and then traded to the moogle next to the relic guy.

I'm not sure where you are in your quest, but if you have already completed the parts where Gerolt sent you to fight Chimera, then Amdapor Keep, then Hydra (Rowena sent you there, I think or maybe she sent you to the Keep), then the three hard mode primals, then you came back, you would give him some oil, then you take the weapon with 3 bottles of Thavnarian Mist to the furnace on the same platform as Gerolt. Make sure you have another weapon on you, because you have to "trade" the weapon and mist. Doesn't matter the level of the replacement weapon, because you're not going anywhere. Make the trade and the new Zenith weapon is now in your inventory. Equip that and then go talk to Jalzhan who is on the platform in the same area as Gerolt. As a matter of fact, as you stand at the furnace, turn left and he's across the grass. His quest DOES NOT sit on your quest list. It goes into completed side quests (he tells you this if you read all of his words). The first link I provided you will give you the list of areas you grind for Atma stones. Doesn't matter what fate, just make sure that your Zenith weapon is equipped while you take the fate. Don't worry about whether you get bronze, silver or gold. Don't worry about what time it is. There's no logic to the drop except pure RNG (random number generator), so just complete fates as time goes on.

OH, and you only need worry about the areas on the list. For example, Eastern La Noscea, Coerthas, and More Donuts have no Atma drops. Only farm the areas on the list. Best of luck to you.

You don't talk to the moogle for Zenith, you trade the 3 mists and the relic weapon to the forge.

The moogle basically tells you what to do.

When you get an Atma, you'll know it, even without looking in your inventory. In this video, you'll see the drop happen around 10 seconds and then at 14 seconds, a nice big sign to the right of my character and a distinctive sound to tell me "Hey, you got the drop!". The notification lasts for about 4 seconds, so you won't miss it. Best of luck. That was my 4th Atma of the Waterbearer.
