Bigger than life?

I need this fate for a daily hunt, and I've been waiting all morning (around 6 hours)
I can't find any information online about it, other than the location.
Is there something I'm missing?

I'm pretty sure you didn't sit and stare at the screen waiting for 6 hours.
You must have been away when the FATE appeared, even for 2 minutes it's gone.

I have my bed near my PC so I was laying down for a while, but I could still see the screen

I'd like an update on this. Been camping this fate for four hours now (And yes, I have been looking at the screen, with high sound level, and playing another game on the second screen just next to the first one, so no, I didn't miss it.

Is there maybe some NPC to trigger this quest (like Svara's FATE), located elsewhere on the map? Cause that's the only plausible way I'd guess I could miss this FATE.

That's the big turtle, right? No, there's no other fate that triggers it. I had the same thing, though I'm sure I wasn't more patient than waiting around 45 mins. Shit-can the Bill of Marks and do an A hunt. You'll get more seals and tomes of soldiery and mythology to boot. Those fate dailies aren't worth the time they take to do, IMHO.

The whole design is crap for something they dare to call "daily". It is not only this FATE where you have to wait a really long time for. I have given up in believing SE will ever realize and change what they have created so I now treat them in my own way. 15 minutes is my personal limit. If a FATE did not appear in this time frame, I do not bother about it anymore and just throw the book away. Helps saving your nerves for other RNG heavy things in the Game. And the 10 seals are half of an A-mark so it is no biggie to get rid of it.
