Missing gathering animations for Botanist, Fisher, and Miner

I recently came back to the game and noticed that the animations for others around me while gathering were not happening. By this I mean that my animations work properly, but the animations for anyone gathering at the same point or fishing hole do not work. Has there been an option added to the game for this? or did they just take out the animations for others gathering altogether? If so, I miss the animations, they made the game feel more alive. Not having them makes the world feel less dynamic.
