Hildibrand quest line - why can't we have more of these?

Whoever on the writing team that did this quest series deserves the head spot for future quest in this game. It was actually entertaining and fun, something that I can't say about the main scenario quest (where I skipped about 90% of the txt)

I just wonder why can't all the quest be funny and light hearted, full of funny characters and fun cutscenes? Those facial animations were hilarious! Instead we get a long dragged out "world in peril, your the hero" non-sense. Blah.

Anyways, I just finished the quest line and got the hammer dance. We NEED more of these!

While I think the tone of the main scenario is fine, I agree I wish the quality of the main scenario quests was as good as Hildibrand quest.

I'd also like more quests like the moogle quests. I don't just mean more moogle quests, but make more quests that are similar. Most quests are sadly just throwaway fetch quests that I just end up skipping the dialogue for now. But both of these (Hildibrand and Moogle) I found thoroughly entertaining.

The moogle delivery quests were very good, they fleshed out a lot of characters that we didn't know much about but saw all the time. The Longhaft quest was extremely good and funny, need more of him and his ladies at Highbridge.

And ya, sadly a lot of the main scenario is just filler quest. Were there anything interesting in the last update besides the Ramuh fight? The ogre and Coerthas fights very pretty boring, not like the 2 v 1 fight from 2.2

Whoever is in charge of that needs to work on the main scenario too. But new people, I am so tired of seeing the scion of losers, the Grand Wimps, and Asscians, and the dumb primals. the story has to move away from them now. They are a terrible story, they had their chance to shine several times to shine and failed. Please move on with new interesting characters like Hildibrand and that crew.

I'll give you the fact that a ton of work and character development has gone into these quests, and I can get behind more quests with a lighter tone. But these are just not funny in the slightest. I get the jokes, they just fall completely flat.

I guess what I'm saying is: this level of work and development yes, Hildibrand no.

The reason we don't have quests like these is because stories are not allowed to have anything comedic or lighthearted. It must be all dark, gloomy, depressing, and hopeless.

You can have too much of a good thing as well.

I'd rather have that each major patch has one Hildi quest and a few (2-3?) Moogle Mail quests that are excellent, then a lot of mediocre ones.
They also serve to balance things. If everything is slapstick it will lose its charm as well. The main scenario is more serious, others things have more humor. (the main quest did have some humor in it as well: 'Tidus' and the rock smashing for example).
