Any plans to improve macros?

Does anybody know if there are plans to improve macros sometime in the near future?

As a console player, my hotbar real-estate is seriously limited, so I find myself having to rely heavily on macros.

The problem is, even the slightest delay can prevent subsequent macro actions from being performed, forcing me to then recast the macro and waiting even longer for the ability to activate.

I'm sure many would agree that macros would be much more usable if actions which do not share a GCD were automatically activated sequentially, instead of having to hardcode delays which are either going to be longer than necessary or so short as to risk conflicting with the previous action, or even be completely unnecessary if the previous actions were on cooldown anyway.

It would also be nice (though slightly less important) if conditional logic could be added, mainly so that we could have one macro which performs the next step in a combo each time it is used.

WoW had macros like this and they were the canine's testicles. Why can't FFXIV?

Macros used to work that way, back in the beta. They where deliberately changed to the current system to prevent macros from being to useful. So, it's highly unlikely they will be changed back.

And that's a terrible answer and leaves XIV further behind the modern-day curve. I'd also like to see macros actually have their text names across them instead of the little cog signifying it's a macro. Those names are immensely helpful in other games to remember what I have in the macro and that's just not possible here.

In this regard, Playstation players actually have the advantage as there is a worded list that appears over the cross when it's activated.
