If you're looking for people on your current server to play with, a good place to start would be here: http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/forums/967-Zalera (Just be aware that due to posting restrictions that are based on your current level in game, you probably wouldn't be able to post in there at this time, but you can still take note of FCs open to new members and make contact to them in the game that way :)).
