Goblins

I think Goblins should be more involved in the story. All the other beastmen tribes get their own focus primals and lore. Goblins I feel are very lacking. If they don't get a primal or anything I think they should be somehow integrated into the main story or have at least a goblin town or stronghold comparable to Oldtown Movapolis in FFXI. What are everyone else's thoughts?

TL;DR: Goblins need more love.

Brayflox's Longstep is the Goblin "town" >_>
They are directly part of the main story and side story with the HM version

A goblin is running the Bonfire and is the "mastermind" behind techniques involving materia. It's also weird that we haven't seen any tempered goblins, which indicates that they are either in the minority or their Primal could be similar to Ramuh where he isn't crazy for world domination.

Based on the goblins dialogue, i don't think they'd have a deity. They are tinkerers, lovers of food(no matter how inedible) and hard workers as well as bandits. They don't seem to be a society that has a belief system where a primal is their keeper in any sense. They seem to believe progress is good, they just have a different view of what progress is..

That's only weird if the Goblins have a deity, the Ascians taught them how to summon things, and they then decided to summon their deity. Maybe the goblins aren't very religious. Maybe the Ascians never stopped by. Maybe we'll face off one day against the mythical goblin king.

That's why I decided to put it in quotations. :P It's not THE goblin town but it's at least one of them. Although they are creating a city from what we can take from the text of that levequest, there are (rather, were in the case of Brayflox HM) lots of goblin houses at Longstep. I'd consider that at least a small town.

I'm sure in a live etter or interview, yoshi said they have big plans for goblins
