Free Trial help?

So I already have FFXIV installed on another computer and a friend wants to play the free trial using that computer, but after creating an account on the Mog Station we can't find any info about setting it up as a trial account... only the option to add a key. On the Trial site the only option is to download and install and click the option on the launcher but there's nothing there. Do I really have to download and install it all over again? Couldn't find any options on trial settings at either the Mog Station or the SE account site.

Have him create another email (if he doesn't have one) and download the free trial (http://www.ffxiv-freetrial.com/us/). When the client prompts him to create an account, it will create a special free trial account.

It's already installed on that computer since I have the disc, the only option the installer that downloads from that site gives is to uninstall FFXIV.

the free trial installer is not the same as the full version installer.
