Training Room: "Test" area for measuring damage

Short of the implementation of an open test server, it would be nice if we got a training room-like zone where people can "borrow" gear and see how much damage they deal in a given timeframe using the built-in damage indicators from PvP results screens (at minimum, expansion of features would be better).

For example, if I wanted to see how well I could do on BRD vs a friend's (very well-geared) BRD, I could borrow "Auroral Tabard (Simulated)", "High Allagan Composite Bow (Simulated)", etc and replicate their gear and allow us to test our damage on even footing. Or if I wanted to see which of 2-3 overall builds would do more damage, I can test that.

This would not only give me a good indication of if I need to improve (if there is a huge gap in damage between us despite equal gear), but also give me solid gear milestones to shoot for.

Thoughts? Alterations?

That would be useful for setting goals on what you what to have equip wise, not a bad idea.
