I fed my choco 12 valfruit, 6 pineapple and 15 plums, got the feather changing message several times, and when I logged in the next day there was no cut scene and nothing happened, no change in color. Now no matter how many fruits I feed it now, I don't get any color changing message.
You need to see the following message "Chocobo Name is growing new feathers" for a colour change to happen
I saw that message several times. Nothing happened the next day. Now no matter how many fruit I feed it I never get that message. I tried about 20 fruits at once and nothing.
I got exactly the same problem yesterday. Fed several pieces of fruit, received the "your chocobo has begun to grow new feathers" almost every time, logged in more than 6 hours later and nothing. My chocobo didn't get out of the stables so this is not a problem, and I clearly remember getting the correct message. So many gils wasted...
It took so many seals and so much time to grow the first batch, then I spent about 100k trying for the second time. I have more fruit but I don't know what the point of feeding it is now.
I think todays maintenance broke the chocobo dyeing system, fed mine 50+plums and still didn't get the feather message.
This happened to me on Wednesday. Another girl in my fc said this happened to her twice.
Happened to me for the first time. Fed my chocobo yesterday, got feather message as usual, logged on roughly 8h later, no movie cutscene or feather change and feeding him gives no feather massage at all.
