Fates need a delay timer
I'm sure I'm not the only one who's witnessed this phenomenon. You're waiting for a Fate, whether it's for marks or Animus, and it never seems to show up. However, that other fate in the area seems to have spawned a total of 10 times while you're waiting. In a Row.
I think this is one of the biggest issues I have with the system currently. Some fates seem to spawn more regularly than others, to the extremes where you're literally waiting for HOURS to complete a single Fate. Waiting for a Fate is not interesting. You can't zone because there's no way to keep tabs on when the Fate will show up. There's rarely much to do in said zone, even if you're doing marks, especially now that they've made B-rank marks provide no rewards.
The solution is pretty obvious. Set a 5 minute timer on Fates before they can respawn. It's not too long that it prevents people actually doing them, but it's also long enough that other Fates can spawn in the time they're down. It might just add enough variety to Fate spawns so that people can actually complete content rather than wasting hours just standing around.

Do the fates around you to make it pop faster. Or at least have a higher chance of poping. Cant say it works every time but its something to do.

The "do the fates around you to make it pop" is not a solution, I've done that with animus fates and had r same fates respawn a lot.
Also some zones that isn't even viable, Coerthas prime example, clearing fates around the zone knowing how large it is means you can easily miss the one you need.
"Taste of fear" fate I was waiting over three hours and zero spawns, yet all the others spawned tons, svara had fallen so much that I'm surprised she bothered getting back up
They need to change the respawn conditions as currently it is a nightmare, why tie animus to fates if they are on a long cool down
One suggestion would be to make them like the beastmen or crystal tower or Hildibrand zombie fate, have them on a forced timer of say 15-30 mins

A really data-inefficient but would be very nice solution is being able to see FATEs on the map even if you're not in the same zone.

What we really need is a system where we can pick a specific FATE and get a notice from anywhere (except maybe dungeons) that it's popped or soon going to pop. Just one FATE at a time is all I ask! I just about missed Downy Dunstan a few days ago after waiting for an hour because I decided to get in some fragrant log/umbral rock gathering and it popped in the two minutes I was gone (I actually ported back to Coerthas between each because I was already paranoid about missing it).
