Compensation for constant server downtime

Is it just me or does anyone else find it rather annoying that Squenix constantly has issues with their servers (likely because they're run by sony...) and we never get anything but a "sorry" from them? We're paying for a service, whereas the general move for most MMO's now is to be F2P. Even F2P games give compensation for unexpected or severe downtime or dont have nearly the issues that this game does.

I'm just saying, it's getting pretty old to be kicked out of game for one reason or other and inconveniences players immensely at times. I was in the middle of raiding, along with a couple other groups i knew of, trying to get it done before reset. Not to mention people capping soldiery... And servers go down for up to 8 hours through reset? Not cool, and we'll get nothing out of it but the loss of weekly caps and runs.

tl;dr - Give us compensation for server downtime outside of scheduled maintenance.

In addition to downtimes they additionally throw in "free login weekends" for players who DO NOT pay for the game. Why not give your active players those 2-3 days of gametime as well? That would cover extensive maintenances, server downtime and any other issues that may arise.
