I wonder if 2.x main scenario quests will be still accessible after 3.0 expansion...

Just thinking... if all 2.x quests are gone after 3.0 launch, anyone who left halfway through 2.x and come back to 3.0 would miss out a whole chunk of the story won't they?

I suppose no one knows at this moment... :)

I'd like to hear more about what yoshi P mentioned with the build up story similar to how 1.0 finished with dalamud slowly falling.

I can't imagine why they would.

The new beast tribe quests have them mentioning a land in the sky. That might be something relevant.

Well consider that as you level you character you exist in a time bubble. While the events aren't happening in "real time" anymore you follow through the main scenario for your character as if they were until the point where you do catch up with the main story.

To "expand" on that (no pun intended), FFXI's first expansion, Rise of the Zilart, pretty much served as a sequel/continuation to the end of the game's original storyline.

So I expect the same to happen here once this game's expansion comes out.

I managed to confuse myself thinking about the 1.0 -> 2.0 change, but now realised that was apparently a new game rather than an "expansion"... LOL
