Why is the bow an Ul'dah company reward and not a Gridania one. He thinks its stupid because Gridania has the archers guild

Just because a guild is in one place doesn't necessarily mean all your stuff should be there. They are slowly starting to get people to travel and stay out of just U'ldah... and that's exactly what's happening.

I think it has to do with Limsa having only 1 (active) battle class guild, so they couldn't just put the weapons in the companies that have the corresponding guilds in their cities anyway. I noticed they did give some regional flavor to the weapons though -- the longbow from Uldah looks very ornate and the THM weapon in Limsa is a cudgel. ^^

Gridania -> Conjurer-Lancer-Archer
Ul'dah -> Pugilist-Gladiator-Thaumaturge
Limsa-> Marauder-Arcanist-Musketeer

When those 2 missing classes are implemented the rewards will provably change so each city has three. Right now keeping Company rewards linked to the city that hosts the guild would put Limsa in disadvantage.
