PvP Rank leveling: Frontlines or Wolves' Den

I've recently begun the nightmare of leveling to 40, only 21 atm so the fun hasn't even started yet, but I was hoping to get some opinions on the most efficient way to get there?

I've just been spamming Frontlines so far, the queue times on my server aren't terrible and Adder usually gets 1st or 2nd, plus I enjoy it and I don't need to have any pvp gear for it and the extra myth is nice. Also, I get to save my Wolf's marks for level 100 gear.


However, I haven't done much of WD, so I'm not familiar with the gain rate there. Assuming the queue times are ok and I maintain a 75% win rate, would WD give me generally give me more exp for time spent?



OBVIOUSLY, there are many variables like server population and database queue times and win rates, but I was hoping someone knew the efficiency ratios on paper of Frontlines vs WD.

Just do FL for leveling. WD is a waste of time for it. There is no efficiency for WD because hardly anyone does it anymore.

If you're really curious and want to know tho, I went from rank 17 to rank 40 in less than 2 weeks but that was with doing FL back to back queues and winning most games with about a 67% overall ratio at that time. WD I hardly ever got a pop and when I did it went 7/8 and some scrub didn't accept the queue and I had to wait another 10-15 minutes for another just to get the same failed pop. just don't waste your time with WD. you'll prolly get 1 pop an hour, if that many and I don't remember how much XP you get at rank 21 per win solo. but i'm sure its nowhere near the amount you get for two to three FL games in 1 hour that you'd get a few hundred points in XP whether win or lose.

if WD did pop back to back though, it would grant more points but just because no one really does it anymore, you won't get as many games per hour like you would FL. I guesstimate that currently if you tried to level from rank 21 to 40 doing only WD, it would take you about a month or so.

thanks, yeah I kinda figured that was the case. Hopefully 2.4 or some patch soon justifies the existence of pvp gear.

In addition to what was stated earlier, Frontlines is a LOT more fun, IMO. I honestly did not like Wolves Den, but am very much addicted to Frontlines. Not only is it fun (though often 30 min wait times), but I love the look of the 100 level gear.
