I have no earthly idea even why this exists in-game because it makes no sense to even have it. Just had a match today, one of the players on our team left, which was fine, except that when he left, it also poofed our LB we could have used.
It is not our fault and we have no control over if a player decides to leave a Wolves Den match and take a 30min pen so our LB shouldn't get taken away from us. SE, remove it.

I wish this were only a problem in WD and no where else. This happens in any instance where people leave totally screwing over the rest. I haven't received an answer from SE on why this is but a LB bar belongs to the entire team not the one who leaves. Examples:
Ran Toto Rak with new Paladin, me as DRG, BLM, healer who bailed. We decided to finish it because we were all looking to gain exp and had waited long enough to get in except the tank who needed to for story. I certainly don't want to have to do every dungeon short of a full party, but we actually had a good time by having to adapt our strategy from the script. I lost my cross class heal with DRG stone' there's enough poison clouds in there to be a total pain to a conj/WHM synch'd to that level, and we got through it with me tanking as DRG and BLM/PLD sharing weaker healing between them. I cross classed an enmity skill in place of one I had. Makes me wish there was some dungeon mode where it would force random adhoc strategizing but I've gone way off topic to time to get back on it. We lost our one bar limit break bar when they left and if anyone deserved it, dammit it was us!!! And anyone else who gets ditched by a selfish MF'er in roulette who decides to try for it anyway. I think the first time we almost got the boss (PLD and BLM healing, me as tank/DPS) and just managed it the second but we should have been able to fill a LB bar all the way from our cumulative efforts and use it, not have it create a harder situation because we're already in a hard one.
Another example Titan HM. Half team couldn't handle bombs half were pros. First time a wipe, second time it's me (Bar) a tank, and a healer or two keeping it going like the last 1/3 of the fight at least, and against all odds we're dancing with Titan like pro's. The third LB bar fills and I'm about to use the revive LB (yeah stomps and weakness suck and people don't come back for long but there were no casters/melees alive). The dead tank leaves and zip! LB bar goes with him. I can't remember if the 3rd bar dropped and first two stayed filled but first two does nothing in that situation. We manage to beat him anyway, and right before we do a replacement tank joins... I noticed then that the LB bar emptied as soon as they came in, we beat titan 5 seconds later, everyone left but me and the WHM who were so excited we'd pulled it off (I know where my 1 commendation came from lol) WHM passed the Titan staff cause she wanted me to have it, last minute tank gets it and leaves without a word.
But yeah that totally sucks about LB I think they should change it so it remains in an instance and fills based on the actions of those there. If someone leaves there's no justification for removing what the party's contributed to filling it so far. And I'm probably bitching about semi-related things because of all the Twin Adders Frontlines matches I was in today why stick to the same GD losing strategy and not adapt!
Question- if a player becomes notorious for bailing Frontlines matches as soon as it's clear things aren't going well, costing the rest of the party the LB bar, would they be justified in kicking them at the start of future matches with proof of doing it multiple times in the past? -

Yeah that sucks, and so does running Toto Rak carrying new players through who don't understand it wasn't if the their fault that the Healer left 5 seconds after people said hello. If the party is one short, maybe have the future growth of the LB bar reflect that that vs losing what the teams put into it.
