Why can't this game let you leave and re-enter a dungeon like every other MMO?

Every other MMO I've ever played spawns the instance and it persists for a period of time after someone or even everyone leaves, for example 30 minutes. There's nothing more aggravating than being stuck in a dungeon when an S rank elite mark spawns and you have to either finish the stupid useless dungeon and miss the kill or you have to leave the dungeon and suffer a 30 minutes penalty. Why can't the game be like every other MMO ever made and let you leave a dungeon and then re-enter it in a certain time frame? Even a 10 minutes timer would be enough to leave, kill the S which takes no time at all, and then re-enter and finish the dungeon. Come on Squenix, even Diablo keeps your game up for a certain period of time after everyone leaves it and you can just re-enter it and resume it! Why can't this be the case in this game?

No thanks. I don't want to have to wait while someone from another server leaves the dungeon to kill something for 10 mins.

Then you need to figure out what's more important to you. Just another example of what the hunts have added to the game...

Yeah, no.

You have to make a choice. Either:
A) Go to a dungeon/raid for loot and/or experience, but risk missing out on possible S and A rank spawns
Or
B) Skip doing dungeons and raids just in-case an S rank spawns.

You missed an S rank? Too bad.
I've killed a grand total of 5 S ranks since hunts were released. It's not like they are a finite resource.

If the dungeon was stupid and useless then why were you doing it in the first place?

Sometimes, you know, people just have bad luck and find themselves preoccupied while something else they are interested in begins to happen and they just miss out on that thing. Or they stop the thing they are doing to take part in the new thing that interests them.

This seems like one of those things, you either pick one or the other.

I'd also like to know what MMOs you are talking about because I have undoubtedly played a much larger list of MMOs and unless the dungeon was open world (in which case monsters would just respawn) you couldn't just go return to it after completely leaving it half finished and come back with the same progress done.

Because other 3 or 7 members in your party don't need to go out, and you want them to wait for you ?

If someone bailed out of my dungeon to kill an S...even with something like this implemented I'd want a way to deny the person the ability to return and immediately replace them so the other players and I could finish the dungeon rather than sitting on our asses waiting for the person to return. What you're asking for is extremely selfish. Diablo 3 is a horrible example because it isn't even a true MMO and the example you gave would be the equivalent of being able to reenter a dungeon AFTER you cleared it which would be completely useless anyways.

So if i'm reading this right you want everyone to wait on you so you can kill your hunts then come back and get your tomes for the day? yea no sorry and what?

I agree with b eing able to exit TO REPAIR.
I disagree with being able to exit TO GET AN S-RANK.

If you want S-ranks; actively hunt with your hunt parties. Considering these have Spawn conditions, you coudl've been actively doing your part to help spawn the S-rank. -_-

Meanwhile, those of us who forget to repair before going in are just ****ed. We can't do anything about our armor.
