I played in beta and release and then left mostly due to the system delay that made it really impossible to avoid AoE attacks from mobs. I live in Tokyo, but played on NA because my friends are in the U.S.
I'm just curious in the months I've been away if this issue has seen any improvement. I quite liked the game, but I'm stuck with a bad ping if I want to play with this same group of gaming friends.
it not really an issue. NA server is locate in Canada. so there quite a bit of distance between Tokyo and Canada, and that causing a delay between you and the server.. I don't think SE can do anything about that. you will have to get use to the high ping or try out VPN to lower you ping.
They've made adjustments and improvements, but they haven't changed the fundamental design. So latency is less of an issue for a lot of people, but it can still be an issue if it's high enough for you. You'd pretty much have to try it to see if it works well enough for you.
