"Digest" in english :
Quote:
1. They are planning to physically move the EU servers in Europe and are in contact with Blizzard for advices on that matter.
2. Yoshida said that it will be possible to form alliances outside of instances (cf patch note 2.35).
3. They didn't anticipate how the hunting system would turn and are planning to make adjustments (cf patch note 2.35).
4. They don't intend, for now, to modify the current open areas (by adding dangers, higher level mobs, etc) but this may change with the expansion.
5. With the Binding Coil hard mode they are testing if the players are interested in that kind of content and they may plan to add several level of difficulty to instances like in WoW in the future.
6. About the possibility to implement a test server : Naoki Yoshida actively preached for a test server on FFXI and he wants one on FFXIV but sees 3 issues :
• he doesn't want the players to be spoiled
• the first year of development was focusing on the schedule of implementation of new content and a test server would have delayed it
• he thinks not everything can really be tested taking the hunting system as an example (on a test server where your character and it's items are disposed of players wouldn't farm hunting marks like they do on the live server).
