Allied Seals
Why are they hunt exclusive? Why not have them as a reward for dungeons. Expert roulettes should have 100 allied seal reward and high should have 50. Then just doing the 3 new dungeons should give 10 or 20 seals.
You have the diehards doing s rank and a ranks. You catered to the soloers. How about catering to the middle guys who want to cooperate with others just not a whole bunch at once and go their own pace.

That's exactly why B-ranks were changed and the rewards for Daily Bills were adjusted. Allied Seals are already unlimited per week, adding them to the roulette would just further increase the saturation and bolster the already insane rate at which people are gearing out.

Can't tell if you are not serious or you're really missing something. I'm going to bite, tho. It's really hard to get a full claim on an A mark soloing and it's almost impossible to do it with an S mark. Most of the hunters are people that are gathered together via PF and hunting oriented linkshells. FCs as well. Most of them are in party. Even though I agree the hunting system is REALLY broken, since their rewards are really high, it's a huge social event. I met a lot of people doing hunting, I made a lot of new friends. In the end, this content is catering the middle guys who wants to cooperate with others. There're a lot of casual hunters, they kill a couple of marks and leave. They're NOT required to stay forever in a party. There're a lot of no-lifers as well, but they were spamming Brayflox non-stop before the huntings were added, so in the end it's the same.
Dungeons shouldn't give more rewards. They give tomes, they give money, they give gear, they give crafting materials. It's okay, nothing else is needed there, imo.

It would only make it slightly faster than it is now. All I want to do is be able to go my own pace. I don't like soloing. I am not playing an MMO to solo. I also don't want to race against the server trying to see a monster for more than a second before it disappears.
Dungeons make me feel comfortable. Just me doing quick runs with usually friendly people.

sadly, SE don't really care for the player lambda, they only care for Casual player or Hardcore that are both extreme into mmorpg.
Cyrus-Wallace, it's not a social event, when the 2.4 will be out, if the hunt don't give good reward, you can be sure that most of this gathering will simply disappear. they exist only for one reason, by greed bond. the hunt as it is it's not near decent and need a whole rework, the bandaid patch we get since the 2.3 will never make it work since SE ignore the two main trouble from it.
- open world content tend to be zerged, meaning no difficulty outside have enough contribution.
- mankind nature, people only want the fastest and the most efficient way to get reward. leading to the first point.

Again, I'm not talking about the hunting themselves, I know there're a lot of problems with them, no idea why you're pointing that out. I critize the hunting system a lot. In any case, I'm saying that is not solo content, you can interact with that people as you please. The same way you get in a dungeon and NO ONE speak, you'll have hunting parties where they only post coordinates and that's it. Depends on your experience.

Then at some point you have to wonder what's the point of allied seals. Don't we have enough currencies already?

Not being able to do coil often, and the frustrating hunt priority of who spawns first makes it quite difficult for me to get this gear. I don't want it handed to me, I would like to get it through team work with a small group of people.
Syrcus tower is supposed to be getting sands as well but relying on that many people to have common sense on how to do fight the bosses and way too much drama.
Which is why dungeons have a 20 seal per run and 50 high and 100 expert roulettes a day would be a good chance for me to be able to catch up.

I like hunting B's now, I'm not in any major rush so dailies and B's will do me. If I happen to hear about or stumble across an A or an S then great. Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't mind extra seals from Frontlines or something but I'm no longer desperate for an alternative method of getting them :).

Correct me if I am wrong, but aren't they from hunts only for lore-related reasons? They are rewards given out by the Grand Companies/nations of Eorzea for taking care of threats to the world as a whole that are too small for sending in the GCs themselves...Or something like that. My memory of the wording is a tad fuzzy.
