Mis-translation of the Chocobo feed

I chatted with other gardeners in the forums, some of them mentionned that the colors in the French and German version were completely different from the English version.

Using the Doman Plum as the example, the English version says it is Light red. However, the French, German and Japanese version refer it as light blue.
Another example is the Cieldalaes Pineapple, which the English notes mentions Light blue, but the French and German version mentions the color Yellow instead.

I think (beware of my fallibility) what's going on is that the English version tried to be helpful by revealing that we're dealing with RGB movements around color wheel, expecting people to be able to realize that and understand how it works. Three seeds add more of a Red Green or Blue value ("deepens"), either rotating the wheel left or right or going directly across it. These three moves also work in reverse by using the opposite seeds, which extract some of that color value ("lightens"). In the case of the Doman Plum, English says that it draws red out of it, whereas the other languages say it adds light blue to it. In terms of the RGB wheel, both of those mean the same thing and will push you from yellow to green. O'Ghomoro Berries, will deepen the blue instead of extracting it, cutting across from yellow into the blues. In other words, when English says it's removing red, green, or blue, the other languages say it's adding cyan, magenta, and yellow, but those mean the same thing with additive color.

This is very, very confusing for a lot of people, especially trying to work the above principle into the larger wheel:

Moreover, even once you figure that out, you have to figure out how where Desert Yellow is on that wheel and how to XYZ your way around it to another color's position. People are basically going to need to build a chart of the color wheel focused on the RGB but with hues in between and different shades of them, show where the dye colors that exist are, and help people gauge what fruits to feed to get to a desired position.

The only thing I still don't quite understand is if you follow additive principles, which is usually where you see RGB, to deepen the colors involvement until you get to white, or if you lighten them, as you'd assume at first glance, to get to white, which still follows RGB but with subtractive principles... I'm not very good at this :o

My guess is that you can just find the RGB value of the dye you want and compare it to Desert Yellow (around R216, G175, B080) and use the fruits that increase/decrease that value. So, in the above example, the Doman Plum decreases the R value, leaving the G value high enough to bring out the green of the chocobo and activating a change to a green dye... which means that to get to black might require dragging all of the colors down to zero...which is counter-intuitive seeing as the seeds say deepen (which a lot of people take to mean darken).
