quests are too easy

I mean the main scenario quests. They require almost no effort to beat and no teamwork at all. I'd rather join other players and have to coordinate strategies in order to bea the missions like in chains of promathia before it got nerfed.

Give us a challenge SE! Give us a battle in which we'll get stuck and it'll be hard as hell to beat!

I like the fact that the main scenario quests are easy, though I think there should be minimal reward (other than story progression) for completing them because of this. The main scenario quests are good encouragement to continue with the less-engaging levelling aspect of the game. If they became a strong challenge to an inexperienced player or group (a la Chains of Promathia), then people may lose their drive to play altogether.

I'm not saying that I don't want difficult content. Side-quests are a fantastic opportunity to bring in some strategy-heavy team-based challenges and the rewards for successfully completing these should be much greater than what is received from Main Scenario quests (whether it be in gil or items). If there was a structured progression through said side-quests wherein completion of one opened up access to more, it would be all the more rewarding.

But yeah, keep the Main Scenario quests easy! :)

Make the quest line more difficult there way to easy right now o.o and make it so you stay in your city more i dislike the fact i never get to see my city and i mean jack to my city i get the i can go to every city type of thing but in ffxi you was proud to be in your city and wear your body from the conquest. Seeing how 85% agree for SE to change the rules of Eorzea make each city hate each other more or at least give a point to return to your city beside craft. Make stuff that you can only do because you pick that city .

I agree they are easy. Less rewarding.

The quest markers on the map are seriously ruining everything I like about questing in general.

I'd love to figure out a route to somewhere or ask me to find something without a timelimit so that I can have a true sense of discovery when a rare nm drops the quest item at a totally random location after years of playing.

Quest markers make all the dialogue useless too and I have no connection to the world as it all boils down to leve-like streamlined nothingness that makes me feel like a vegetable for playing it.

I agree with you, but in order for this to work we need noticeable landmarks/npcs. For example, putting npcs in the middle of nowhere will PITA to find, since everything looks almost identical. The same with npcs in cities, it's like finding a needle in a haystack. Also quest makers are teh evil (same with npc exclamation/question mark).

They aren't as bad as you say they are. It's not like there are fifty exclamation points on the mini map. If you'd rather talk to every npc to get a mission, then by all means do it. You'd prlly go to a website to look up where to get missions from anyways

The quests in general are waaaay too easy.

searching the web is the fun part! the quest markers take the mystery and alot of the exploration out of the game. actualy... can i just get somone who knows the game inside out to sit next to me and tell me what to do? maybe he can hold the controler and press the buttons for me? Thanks

I agree. Quests are way too easy. Even as a CON i barely need more than two casts to kill something.
