Personal Room Features

I love the fact that I have a personal room in my FC House, but I'm a little disappointed at the lack of things I can do in it. If nothing else, I really wish I had the ability to log out via "going to sleep" on the bed in my room, like I can in an Inn Room. It's not a big complaint at all, but I always used to make a point to logging out in an Inn Room via the bed, as it always felt like a good stopping point and a perfect place to start each new session.

I'm just surprised that you don't have that option in your Personal Room. You'd also think you'd have access to the aesthetician and your Armoire. When I purchased my personal room, I just naturally thought it would at least be able to do what an Inn Room can do. As much as I love decorating it, I really have very little reason to ever use my Personal Room.

Anyone else have any thoughts on this? Curious to hear what other folks think! :)

Definitely glad I'm not alone! Makes me not feel as bad! I just hope no one takes this as me "complaining". It's just more "wishful thinking". :)

The armoire and journal are coming (I think in 2.38 but don't quote me on that). As for being able to log out via the bed this might be added as well but if you're asking to be able to log back in and still be in your room that is unlikely. SE's reasoning is server space/stress which they want to keep low until they see how much personal housing effects the above.

P.S. I agree with you it's a bit disappointing that in many ways an inn room is more useful than my personal room, ability to decorate it aside.

That's good to know! I'm not so much concerned with logging back into my room, as I completely understand their reasons, but I just think it would be nice to log out via the bed and get that nice little "going to sleep for the night" animation. It was always just a nice way to end a session, and honestly it would make me use my room much more often.

Would like to see that too. Closest thing I can do is /doze in my bed and log out.

Heh, i know it's just a quick fix, but i love macro's for silly things. One of my favourite customs:

/em looks at his watch in shock! Look at the time
/em runs off to bed
/shutdown

I should really learn how to use macros for such things! It's one of my shortcomings in this game that I really need to take the time to learn regardless for "practical" things such as DoH classes and for SMN.....but I have a feeling there will be many silly things as well!
