So far we have cleared the fact:
-Finishing fast(with lot of time remaining) does not increase the amount of chest spawned after Batraal death(finished with 8 mins left, got 4 chests).
-Opening all 5 Possible chest before Batraal encounter does not affect the chests spawned at his defeat(got possible 5 in dungeon + 4 more at kill).
Possible theories:
-Killing and clearing the Chocobo Stables room may possibly add +1 chest to your Batraal loot.
Any idea you guys figured out that you wanna share?
Would like to know this as well. Are there certain requirements that need to be met that will guarantee 4 chest to spawn? If so, what? Have cleared it twice now and got one chest the first time then two the next.
I have read alot of other threads where people say they get 4 all the time but never say how.
People allready seem to have found out how to spawn the mystical 5th chest but are holding onto it for a little bit before posting videos.
Give it till the morning and I'm sure the videos will be uploaded and all will be revealed.
Remove the special buff, stun the eyes, and have Batraal kill the ahrimen.
Im not even worried about the 5th chest yet. I would like to consistently spawn the other four first.
Each chest drops its own items, the problem is that some items can’t be obtained because it appears they drop from the 5th chest…
Anyways, my linkshell gets 4 chests every time after killing batman, I’m not sure what determines this though. We get all 6 chests before killing batraal, we skip the first light on the first floor, we don’t kill the captain, and we skip about half the mobs in the dungeon.
Personally my favorite theory on how to get the 5th chest that I’ve seen on other forums is that a carpenter needs to craft a +3 crab bow in front of batraal while his health is between 10-20% lol
