I was iLvl 73 for Syrcus Tower and people raged that my iLvl was too low?

No, they are just being tryhards.

If DF lets you que in said gear you are geared enough. People just hate the idea of having to work a little harder for any reason.

Effectively? Yeah if it's your first job and it's i73 you won't be effective. You can still queue for it though

That's a loaded question I would say, your ilvl helps you do better at your job but i know plenty of people with lower ilvl that do better than higher ilvl people. The question would be if you are one of those, if you are not then in a way you're making things harder for others. Syrcus tower is pretty easy so even if you don't do very well and end up making things harder for other people it shouldn't be a deal breaker.

Problem would be if most of the people in the run are low ilvl and don't perform very well, then you might not finish Syrcus tower. Main reason I think people consider ilvl73 too low for Syrcus even if it is very easy is that there's CT and that one gives ilvl80 and the precursor of ST, so I think most people are just unhappy thinking that you want to just skip CT altogether cause it's a bit more work to get fully geared before jumping into ST. There's also the whole Myth/Soldiery armor which is pretty easy to get which is i90 and i100 respectively so i73 is pretty low comparatively.

I been there with people over ilvl100 who hasen't repair there gear when u start wonder why they have lower then 2.3k health almost getting 1 shot by all aoe.
