What is your (1) favorite Final Fantasy character?

Hey! What is your favorite Final Fantasy character? It can be from ANY game but you must choose ONE, not three or top ten! And if possible come up with a reason comprised of a few sentences or (1) paragraph. ^_^


Mine would be Baltheir from Final Fantasy XII.
reason: If theres one thing I like, it's character development and Baltheir has a lot of it. He also has values and a way of life that I think is what allowed Fran to accept him(if you played the game). Theres also, of course, the relationship between him and Cid.

Cloud Strife because Cloud Strife.

Lightning
Reason: Badass female with non nonsense and emo personality. A woman who can be sweet and kind but strong and intimidating as well.

Beatrix, FF9 because well, No reason needed. if you know this woman..

Tie between Gilgamesh and Kefka

I would have an extremely hard time picking a single character. That being said, if I were cornered into choosing just one.....

Zidane Tribal.
As the protagonist, his life is a whirlwind of adventure and drama, but he manages to maintain an upbeat rhythm while displaying all of the qualities you expect from a hero: judgement, fierce loyalty to his friends, even contemplation when the situation calls for it. He may not be the most "awesome" protagonist of a Final Fantasy, but he is the one I would most like to become if I had a choice.

A good FFIX choice as well, Rose of May holds a permanent place in my "soft listening" playlists.
