How come there is no rename token?

I could really really use one.....I'm surprised there isn't a rename token service being offered. What if someone needed it to avoid certain people? Or some characters that were changed but still stuck with the old name that looks off...?

Renaming has a long history over the last decade and a half of MMOs of causing problems. Generally, in most MMOs, you can only rename when you server xfer because you may actually share the same name as another individual.

Some MMOs allow it but others will not.

We saw a post recently of someone ninja'ing several FC tabs from multiple FCs. In situations similar to these, is why some MMOs don't allow name changing.

I wouldn't mind a renaming token either. Would love to make my character a Rogaedyn from Lalafell but the name just wouldn't fit.

It should be included with the Fantasia potion, imo. It should be a complete shange for your character's identity.

This should be a feature. But, SE is happy gouging you $36 right now if you want to name change and stay on the same server.

If this would tie to Blacklists, I'd be ok with it. I would assume the Primary key for BL is not player name, because that'd be stupid, so sure. Otherwise, you have the issue of people mindlessly abusing everything, bam, name change, no harm done. No one knows who you are anymore. Just food for thought.
