Game FPS dropped to 0 and then crashed

Teleported to Mor Dhona when the FPS dropped to single digits (0-5). Noticed Mini map was blank, game map was blank but showed markers only.

The game then crashed to desktop and showed the attached screenshot/ The in game sound was still playing. (I had sound enabled even if the client was not selected).

Upon clicking OK the game was automatically closed.

CPU: Intel Core i5 4670k
Ram: 16 GB
SDD(0): 120 GB (OS and game installed here)
HDD(1): 120 GB (In Raid 0)
HDD(2): 120 GB (In Raid 0)
HDD(3): 1000 GB
GPU: ASUS R9 270X
Ethernet network connection.
