Will there be server space for everyone to buy a Personal House?

As the days go on and we keep getting close to the patch that will give personal housing I can't help but wonder if we all will get that chance or not. One of the limiting factors that has been mentioned several times is the server stress involved.

1) I would like to know if everyone will get a chance at a personal house or will the wards be just as limited as fc ones are now?

2) Also another question I had was on price. Rumor has it they will be 850k or more to start out with. If server space and stress is still issues by that time they come out do you think the pricing will stay below fc housing or be very high to discourage everyone from wanting one?

With so much centered around gardening as of late it is of extreme concern to me and I am sure many others.

They've been extremely tight-lipped on these details and so the real answer to your questions is that we simply don't know, and all we do have to go on are rumors. The only concrete things that they've said is that it won't be as expensive as FC housing, and we'll be able to garden.

In theory, they're designing a housing system that's meant to accommodate every single person who ever has or ever will play the game, so I'd have to imagine it'd be instanced like the rooms are in order to allow everyone to have their fair chance at owning a home. But, again, that's speculation and not anything official, which is why I share the same concerns you have. All I can say is the way they choose to handle personal housing will dictate whether or not I continue to enjoy my stay in Eorzea.

I suspect they would increase the wards. Our FC has a medium house and last night I was having a look around our neighbourhood and I noticed something. There's three large houses and two out of the three looked to be abandoned with few people in the FC and it looked like no one logging in, the other sizes looked similarly abandoned.

With player housing I suspect after a while there will be a very high number of them unoccupied months down the line. SE should free abandoned Fc and personal properties after so long so it reduces the number of wards needed.

They will likely use their pseudo-economics and set the price much higher for rich realms. A million doesn't seem that bad for a small house.

Here's a few more questions:
Are they doing wards like FC housing at all?
Will the houses be more than one size?
What about storage? I've seen a dev post of "we aren't increasing FC coffer storage due to server limitations"; will this affect whether personal housing gets storage or not?
And (of course) the cost... throw us a bone here...
