Problem with my chat for about 9 months or so

Been holding off for ages with this but I need a solution and I'm hoping someone has some advice.

Simplified for the character cap on here, my chat has been covering 1/3 of my screen all along the right side. It went from the bottom left, middle then right after storyline cutscenes a month apart for both. The chat then expanded after logging into the game a month or so after again. I posted in the Technical Issues section about 9 months back but it was locked because I didn't have the info they needed.

It's hurting my static for T6 and I need to sort it. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. So far there's nothing on the net about known issues. I'm on PS3.
