Thavnairian Onion Bug -- Serious

Monster Name: None.

Our free company managed to grow our first Thavnairian Onion today. It's about four days ahead of any others. I harvested it and fed it to another FC member's stabled chocobo. It went through the proper training cutscene, and was shown eating the basket of food, but after the cutscene was finished I got the red error message "Chocobo cannot gain EXP". The onion was gone from my inventory but when the FC member took his chocobo out it still had a max rank of 10 and could not gain any more EXP.

It's very disheartening to lose an onion to what appears to be a system bug, after all the effort spent growing it. I contacted in game support about this but they said the onion couldn't be replaced because it's a garden item and not purchased.

I believe this is the problem here. Based on the Chocobo traning description in game (in the Stables menu) you can't gain any bonus from the bonus food if it's fed to your chocobo by other FC members (most likely to avoid them "messing up" your favorite food progress), only if you feed it yourself and this seems to apply for Thavnarian Onions as well. I feel for you loosing such valuable item but I doubt you'd be able to get it back unfortunatelly.
