Paladin tank LF FC

I recently got introduced to FFXIV by a friend of mine after my last MMORPG being WoW for 2-3 years about 3 years ago. I'm now an ilvl 89 tank, skilled from years of tanking in WoW being held back by crappy pugs, even when using party finder.

I'm looking for a friendly sociable FC that has quite constant raiding I could join into, and active players that you could maybe form groups for these harder trials etc. and want people that you can actually even if you're having a hard time on something hard, come back to the day after with a group that's improving untill you kill something.

If an FC is willing to help me gear up through the turns in Bahamut I'm also very confident in my skills I could join in on high level stuff within a few weeks. Killed Garuda Extreme on my 2nd day in lvl 50.

Hey Faramund, and welcome to the game!

We at Silver Wolves would definitely be happy to have you. Are we a good fit for you? That is up to you to decide, I will just give you a few facts about us so you can decide.

We are a small/medium-sized, pretty close-knit Free Company. We are pretty casual but still try to get things done, as well as help each other when needed. We do both 4-man and 8-man instances with each other daily (although due to our size, we don't always have enough people online to do a 100% in-FC 8-man run, so sometimes we fill up with 1-2 random people). After a short summer break, we are also returning to regular raiding and raid two times a week (on Wednesday and Sunday evenings). However, due to our relatively casual nature, nobody is REQUIRED to attend any raid if they don't want to. All we ask you to is to attend if you signed up for it.

So, this is what you will NOT find in our Free Company:
- Huge player base with 20+ members online at all times
- Group that will carry you through Coil 5-8 right away
- Lightning-fast raiding progress (we value fun and good atmosphere over progressing as fast as possible)
- Mandatory raids that you must attend at any specific attendance% (we are NOT a raid guild)

But this is what you WILL find here:
- A group of friendly people happy to help each other (in fact we had many people returning to the game after a long break - I myself returned after playing last in 2.1, so I was probably in very similar situation to you, being ilvl84 when I came back!)
- Opportunity to experience Second Coil of Bahamut from a fresh perspective - we are only now starting to learn it, so you could become part of it instead of just being carried by an already-experienced group
- Dedicated crafters that can also help you with any crafting-related things
