Checking out this server

Edit - I've joined up with Espers and so far liking my stay there. Thanks for the considerations.


I came back a couple of weeks ago after a nearly year long break, and starting to see my server changed a bit since I've been gone. After doing a bit of looking around I saw this server as the newest one of the NA choices and seems friendly so far (more so in the sense I use a controller for PC and was launched for PS4 users xD). In any case I started up a new character here to see how people are and wondering if any FC is recruiting people like me. I've seen plenty of posts for endgame related stuff but I'm looking more for all-around friendly type FC, alot like old school FFXI style LS's. Current in game name is Fyre Lightsworn, and if all goes well I'll move my 50's to here eventually. xD

if youre on jenova, find me. i would be more than willing to run dungeons with you and help get you levelled. i cant say with certainty that you would get into the fc, but there isnt a reason why we wouldnt let you, as we have some low level people already.

I very much appreciate the offer, but I don't really need help leveling as the game makes it easy enough as it is lol. I'm only putting myself out there for the pure fact I'm hoping to relive a bit of FFXI's community. I hopped around a couple LS's at the very beginning but found one pretty quick that I stuck with for years and became like a second family. Be it for need or just for goofing off and having fun we did stuff together often and had a nice atmosphere.

Another side to it is people preferred to stick together, and while I'm not looking for a huge FC, its a bit disheartening to see a bunch of FCs with 3 or 5 people in them, or those with 150+ but with only 2 people on. I was eyeing your FC for awhile when I first arrived here too, since it seem to have a decent amount of people on during the hours I'm on. Although if being a lower level is a cause for concern, then my line of thinking already doesn't match that of your FCs.

Currently I'm with a freshly made FC that started pretty much the day I made my alt, which normally I wouldn't of joined but their reasoning led me to give it a chance. Unfortunately so far it is ending up as I expected and still on the fence about staying, thus why I have kept my post up as it is. Given a few more days, if the FC remains the same I'll be looking again, though so far it seems there isn't much out there besides endgame cliques and inner circle FCs with only a few people within them.

Beyond that though the atmosphere of the server itself is why I haven't ran back to Brynhildr yet. People offering help to each other, items, sitting, walking and talking (not RP but just being casual, having fun); things I haven't seen since beta of 2.0 and XI prior. Just gotta find the right FC now lol... x.x

the only reason i mentioned the thing about low level is because i dont have a leadership position. we do already have low level players, and we do help them out in whatever way we can. i havent been in this fc for too long, but everyone is very nice, they helped me get another relic, we run pretty much any dungeon.

Well if it is all-around FC like that then I'm definitely interested. I'll try to catch you in game to talk more instead of dragging you back to the forums all the time. It'll also give time to the FC I'm currently in a fair chance to get started in case they decide to make a push, though I'm not expecting it given the time zone differences and directional goal of the founders.


Edit--- Well the friend of the main founder just up and quit the FC without so much as a word so I think its safe to say I'm gone and will be looking to join relatively soon lol...

Simply putting this, we are going to set carries for T5 sooner or later for the server.

While I'm sure heavy raiding is popular with some, it is the farthest thing from what I am interested in terms of a FC. Thank you though and good luck to your FC.

I'll see if we can meet up tonight then. I left the previous FC and submitted an application to yours stating I was talking with you on here. Another person by the name of Taro Insix is attempting to join as well, he was the other outer circle new guy in the FC I was pulled into and pretty much the only person I talked to most of the time.
